Cyber Solutions offers cellular internet routers that connect to local cell towers to provide unlimited internet usage with no contract requirements. This brand-new company was co-founded by Shelly Berryhill and Stephanie Milner who simply saw a need for this service and wanted to provide a great option for the people of our small community. They feel that competition in this field is a good thing and they want to be able to offer a competitive alternative to the standard services. They plan to stress great customer service over everything else. Their staff will consist of Johnathan Waters, who has a great amount of technical training in computer services, to run the company on a day to day basis along with Marree Cleghorn who will be assisting with admin and office support part time. Shelly and Stephanie do not plan on stopping with just internet service, they also plan to include services such as computer, laptop and smartphone repair.
Dairy Queen has been here in Hawkinsville since 1964! The owners have changed hands a few times, but as of July of 2011, Victor Momin has been the face you will see when you visit. Since taking over the DQ in 2011, Victor advised that they have undergone 4 remodels in total to get to the new and updated look you see today. He currently has over 20 employees at this location, several who have been with him for over 8 years. Dairy Queen has always been very involved in the community and any events that takes place here. They have initiated many fundraisers for different charities and causes setting a day of the month to dedicate 10% of their proceeds to each charity. Most recently, they offered this type of fundraiser and donated $350 to the HHS and PCMS Cross Country teams. They have sponsored different teams for the Hawkinsville Rec Department, have worked closely with the sheriff’s department on events and even donated different cakes and treats to local churches during the holidays.
B.H. Hall Ready Mix Concrete (Dublin Construction) is one of the newer businesses around town as they have been here for just about a year now. Mr. Albert Glass is the plant manager and likes to say that, like ice cream, there are many different flavors of concrete. B.H. Hall specializes in helping to find the right “flavor” of concrete for your project. They offer both industrial and residential services and are currently working on the remodel of the River Bridges. They work regularly with the Department of Transportation in Pulaski, Bleckley and Dodge counties. The most interesting part about this company is that they are a completely green company. They do all they can to recycle every bit of leftover concrete including making barrier blocks and a mix called “Crush and Run”. These are then sold or used at the plant for various other projects.
